  1. Cizek Model Is and IIs

Hi Steve, I'm an italian lover of Cizek sound. I bought my pair of Model III when i was teenager and i dreamed for a life to get a pair of MG27 (too expensive at that time for my small teenager's budgett). After many years i just found my used pair of MG27 but unfortunately a repair shop replaced the original spiders and voice coils of the 4 woofers with not original items. As you imagine I would like do my best in order to restore the original Mg27's condition and i will be really grateful if you can provide two simple spec concerning your original pair. I need to know the DC resistance and the inductance of a single woofer disconnected from the crossover network. If you are not usual with that i can give you full information in order to make this simple check and i will be really grateful to help me to make my dream true. I really appreciate any help you can provide Best Regards Sergio

  4. Used to Work at Cizek

Hi guys, I'm an enthusiast Cizek lover from Italy since i was teenager on 1984 with my first pair of Cizek Model III. In the last couple of years i worked to find and to buy others in my opinion significant speakers of the Cizek production but it's quite hard to get the items in good and unaltered situation. I will be really grateful to all the friends here and especially to the workers at the main Cizek factory for any help or suggestion in order to restore the factory's condition of these fabulous speakers. In particular i have a quite urgent matter concerning my couple of MG27 sub mono bought 3 years ago Unfortunately the first owner gave the 4 woofers to a maintenance store and they changed the voice-coils and the spiders of these woofers without a serious reason. At this moment the new spiders are too hard and also i think that the new voice-coils are really different from the original. Even the resonant frequency in free air of each woofer at the moment is 16Hz instead of 12Hz as showed in Mg27's specs. I will be really grateful if someone in touch with who worked at Cizek factory can help me to find the original Mg27's spiders and voice-coils. In alternative i will really appreciate to receive just the full specs of the original voice-coils. Thanks to a long work of investigation i found some pictures of Model's 1 woofer voice-coils and the original advertising of these speakers. With these details i can imagine the following specs For the Model's 1 woofer aluminium voice-coils: Diameter : 38mm Copper wire size : AWG28 Number of Layer : 2 Number of turns per each layer : 61 Rcc : 3,2 Ohm Now, looking at Mg27's circuit, and also at the Mg27's woofer magnet height (almost the double of Model 1's woofer magnet height) and at the declared specs of Mg27 i can just suppose the following specs about Mg27 voice-coil of each Mg27's woofer: Diameter : 38mm Copper wire size : AWG28 Number of Layer : 2 Number of turns per each layer : 122 Rcc : 6,3 Ohm Even with this investigation and even if the calculated parameters are just hypothetical i still without some details concerning Mg27's woofer original voice-coils as the material of the core (aluminium or paper??), the inductance in free air and the total lengths of the core, so i will be really really grateful to who will help me to get the originals voice-coils (and spiders) or in alternative to who will let me know these parameters in order to restore the original situation of these woofers. A secondary matter is the one regarding a special customized improvement done by Cizek factory on the famous Peerless tweeter before to be installed on the speakers. This story still a mistery so i think that just a worker at the factory can help on that. But i can confirm that the customized tweeter by Cizek factory sounds much much better than the original Peerless stock one Finally the last question regarding the not usual profile layout of the 8 inches original foam surround installed by the factory on the Model II and Model III woofers in order to find the right or similar replacement. Thanks to everyone for any help about that. Sergio sergiopxx@hotmail.com Ph. +39 3288373006 ITALY
  5. MG27 Subwoofer - Need help - 10' drivers spec

Thank You so much Kent. All the best. Sergio
  6. Hi guys, i have a problem with a second hand pair of Mg27 mono. The old owner gave the four 10 inches driver to a restore shop for new surrounds and they made a full restore changing the spiders (now are too strong but i still with a piece of the soft original one) and the coils too. I'm really not confident and sad about these renovated drivers and i would like to try to restore the original situation of these rare drivers. So i'm asking here to the Mg 27 owners in this website if they can please check the DC resistance and the inductance of the original 10' inches MG27 drivers and let me know the results. Will be really appreciated to know also the original diameter of the coil's copper wire. Please Help Help Help. Thank You in advance to everyone can provide help (even small details or small infos are really appreciated) about that. Sergio Italy
