    AR12 Midrange

The problem arose again. I'm a little embarrassed to say that it was actually the woofer having the problem. An intermittent scratchy sound only noticeable at low to mid volume. I took the woofer out and found one of the terminal connectors on the woofer very loose. I just pulled the connector back a little so it was tight and it's been good since.

    AR12 Midrange

I haven't had the issue since so all is good now. I will go ahead and install the surrounds when they arrive. I'm still in awe of the sound these speakers produce. Feel very lucky to have stumbled onto them.
  3. Most of you will probably scoff at me for discussing Realistic speakers but oh well. I have always had a place in my heart for Realistic since I was a little kid. Anyways I have a set of Mach 5000 speakers with the circuit breaker and it seems to me the breaker cuts out rather quickly. Both speakers cut out at almost the same time. I'm using a Realistic STA2100D amp so I shouldn't be overpowering the speakers? Any thoughts on this would be appreciated. Thank you.

    AR12 Midrange

I recently picked up a pair of AR12 Speakers and and every once in a while one of the midrange's gets a buzz/crackle. I tapped on the cabinet and it goes away. The midrange does need a new surround. I haven't taken anything apart yet. Other wise the speakers sound absolutely incredible. Just wondering if anyone has encountered such an issue. I would like to know what's going on before I go thru the effort of putting a new surround on it. Thank you.

    Okay, these AR12 are awesome!

I just acquired a pair of AR12's and I am very impressed. The midrange need new surrounds but they still sound fantastic.
