Bozak DMS2500 Tweeter Voice Coil Diaphragm Replacement?

Recommended Posts

I'm new here and an AK member suggested I ask for help here.  But I'm not sure which forum to post to.

I have a set of Bozak DMS 2500 2 way speakers.  They have B-800Bc woofers and what I believe are Audax soft dome tweeters.  The tweeters don't work, no continuity, test open.

I want to replace just the voice coil/diaphragm and am looking for advice on how to make sure the voice coil is centered in the gap around the pole piece before gluing them.

Is this the correct forum to be asking about this?  If so I will post some photos and details of what I am attempting to do.

There is a Bozak forum just below the Bose forum if you would like to use it.  You may get help here but for archival purposes it more properly belongs in the Bozak forum.

OK, I will give it a shot.  I thought about posting there, but since the tweeters aren't 'Bozak' I wasn't sure.  And these DMS2500 are later model Bozak, post Rudy, and aren't considered 'classic' Bozaks.

Thanks for the reply.

I'm not getting any response on the Bozak forum.

It's really a question about an Audax tweeter, not made by Bozak.

Hope it's not against the rules to post the details in this forum.
