10 Inch Woofers with Round Magnets

Recommended Posts

The round magnet woofers are from after Jensen bought Advent and are legitimate Advent woofers. They used the same baskets and cones and their own magnets and paper dust caps.

I don't have any but would not have a problem using them.

Thanks Doug for letting me know what these are.

Actually, looking at your photos again, I would be more concerned that they used the incorrect surrounds to refoam the woofers. It looks like they could be the thick, inflexible variety and with too wide a flange around the outside.

The flange should just be about 1/8" to just fit on the little ledge on the frame. The ones in the photo are overlapping the ledge and going up the angled part of the frame. This isn't as big a deal as the too thick characteristic as long as the outside flange is securely glued but they are, technically, incorrect.
