DavidR
I picked up a tweeter and Upper Mid off of eBay to have as a spare for my 90s should anything go wrong. The drivers were very will packaged. The tweeter looked like new and the UM had a bit of what's probably dried ferrofluid at the center of the magnet.I took a DC resistance of each driver.Tweeter> 1.4 ohmsUM> 3.4 ohmsThe tweeter reading bothers me. Can anyone tell me if either are good to keep and use???Is this a normal/typical ohm resistance reading for the tweeter???
RoyC
David,The tweeter's dcr should be around 3.5 ohms. Something isn't right...Roy
DavidR
Thanks for the response Roy.I didn't think it was a good reading.

rrcrain
Another issue to watch for with the upper midrange drivers is a voice coil that is not in the magnet gap. I've seen two like this so far.
