  1. Thanks Roy, I appreciate it. I was hoping it looked correct. Was going to redraw it, especially the speakers, Lol, but i ran out of time yesterday.
  2. Ok, This sentence I didn't quite understand. I thought you meant that since I was using the original woofers that I would also need an inductor in series with that. My mistake. Does this diagram look right?
  3. Thanks so much for replying. I bought the components with the speakers, and I hope they are the right ones. As far as the inductor goes, I should probably try it with, and without. Would you know the specs for one to try?
  4. Anybody care to take a shot at a diagram? Its a shame that Carl spent his time designing this, but it wasn't fully explained. I'm not an electronics guy, and don't want to short anything out by guessing.
  5. I know this is an old thread, and also that the OP has sadly passed away, but can anyone post a circuit diagram of the crossover that Carl designed? I bought those tweeters way back when, while in the process of moving, and have just gotten around to setting up my HiFi gear. I don't see where the 3 ohm resistor (specs?) goes, and does the red wire (woofer?) attach directly to the pos. terminal? I'd really like to try this since already have the cabinets braced. Thanks
  6. Hello, I was searching for a replacement tweeter for my large Advents, and found this. I have a set of the new Large Advents, and the later 5012/w's. I'd like to have 4 speakers all the same (stackable), and replace the tweeters (especially the fried egg ones) with something better. I've got the woofers refoamed, and the cabinets of the 5012's braced. I plan on using fiberglass packing. just need a little more information about the crossovers. Would the crossover you listed Carl work well with the Dayton RS28F-4 tweeters, and the original woofers? If so, could you post a parts list including brands, and a good place to purchase them? Maybe, also a wiring diagram, so an electrical noob like me won't mess it up? I can solder though. Thanks for posting all this info, I'm pretty eager to hear what they're going to sound like. Dean
