KLH 6s restored

Recommended Posts

Here's a picture of a pair of KLH 6s I just restored. One tweeter was silent, so I replaced both caps with Dayton 8.2 mfd 5% tolerance caps and all is well.

I'll provide a link to my review of these speakers as well:

The screens are a fabric a friend brought back from the East Coast. It's actually more like AR-2ax fabric than the slightly less modern-looking fabric of most KLH 6s. But it looks great. My other pair looks more "authentic" (we're talking subtle differences here), but this pair actually looks nicer.

Hi Colin

Very nice job done.

Exquisite walnut veneer as always.

If your read the preface on the original large advent literature Henry Kloss said the ideal speaker would be one speaker but since that was impossible the 2 way was the next best with minimum problems. that is most likely why the klh 6 and large advents are two way.

That sort of puts the ar 9's and 90 etc out inleft field with all the speakers in those cabinets.

And how about the bose 901s??????????
