Horswispr
Does anyone have experience with EV home speakers from the late 1960s and early 1970s? I picked up a pair of EV Five As today for refinishing and was curious about them. Google has nothing. My old Allied catalog from 1971 lists a Five C with the same dimensions for $99 each. The Five As have a cone tweeter and a cool looking 10" woofer with inverted surrounds (possibly treated cloth; they're intact) like those of KLH 17s and Realistic Optimus 1s.I haven't hooked them up for a serious listen yet. I'm wondering if they'll compete with the likes of Dynaco A-25s and AR4xs.--Horse

ra.ra
I know this is a very dated posting, but attached are two spec sheets for the various EV-5 speakers. Also, for those interested in discontinued EV's, see this weblink.www.electro-voice.com/downloads.php?fam=181&title=Loudspeakers&d=1 EV5A EDS-1.pdf EV5C EDS-1.pdf
