Guest Bret
Does anyone have a list of inductor values and their associated part numbers that they would be willing to share?Bret

Guest Bret
>which speaker bret?<I'm sorry. That was stupid. I was thinking of an AR-10pi and the AR-9. The 9 because a question had been asked recently and the 10pi because I need to check mine.Bret

Unfortunately, I recently moved and most of my AR reference books are boxed in the basement of our new house, and I won't be able to get to them for some time. Remember that in the AR-10Pi, the switched autotransformer taps allow several combinations of "tuned circuits," consisting of capacitors and inductors, so that bass output down at resonance could be altered +/- 3 dB referenced to the midrange output, to compensate for room placement. AR received a patent on the AR-10Pi "bass equalization" network around 1977. --Tom Tyson

I think someone switched a wire somewhere. Or something. I cannot account for the brightness but it is definitely somewhere in the crossover. The upper drivers' switches are attenuating them and the "pi" switch does change the output of the woofer. Since I haven't destroyed an amp with them, you'd think that they are probably wired correctly.I suppose I'll have to spend another $100 on a meter to check these inductors against the ones in the friend's pair.Bret
