Can anyone give me the goods on these two speakers? I've heard they still stand up to new speakers costing about $800. I listen to 2 channel music mostly but would they work as mains for home theater? Good bass? Compare to Axiom 60?
Any knowledge greatly appreciated.

I know this was posted a long time ago but I am new here so here goes. I am using a pair of L880's for my fronts and a pair of L520's for my rear surrounds and I think they are awesome. Using Klipsch center channel speaker and powered sub too. I am very very happy with my surround and just as happy using it as a stereo playing my vinyl.
The 880's are powered by a Carver M1.5 amp running off the front pre out from my Denon. Gives me plenty of power for the 880's
