If woofer resonance goes higher?

If you coat the cloth surround with simply speakers goop, what will happen to the sound if it rasies the resonant hz?

In all likelihood there will be a peak in the bass response (Q will also increase) and perceived bass will be louder but the deepest bass will be reduced, even eliminated. It defeats the purpose and goals of an acoustic suspension speaker. It's exactly the opposite of what you want to do.

If you're not going to use Roy's formula, you'd probably be better off listening to the speakers with leaky cloth surrounds.
